Avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the non-stick surface. 5)For stubborn food residues, soak the appam patra in warm soapy water for a few minutes to loosen the food before cleaning. 6)Never use steel wool, harsh scouring pads, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the non-stick coating and reduce its effectiveness.
